Learning and Teaching
September 28, 2011 Leave your thoughtsI learned many new details about Osteoporosis prevention and treatment last week at the American Society for Bone & Mineral Research annual conference. I was also one of the teachers.
Learning new methods of diagnosing, preventing and treating osteoporosis has become routine over the last 5 years. I have attended NOF and ISCD conferences as well as ASBMR .
I have been privileged to attend presentations by many of the national and international leaders. This year was no different. I received updates and answers to questions I had about specific patient issues.
This year was different too. I presented a poster exhibit dealing with Osteoporosis Education. During the exhibitor hours I shared insights and techniques with other patient care providers. I taught others, and in doing so learned more myself.
Learning and teaching makes for a successful conference!
