Blue Zone Daffodil Hunt

April 16, 2015 Leave your thoughts

RJ and Gwen were with us for a long weekend.  We drove through rain, and even snow, to get them at the hand-off point on I-35.  I took time off work to hang out with them.  We have to see them as much as we can right now.  They are moving from Minneapolis to Seattle next month.

We went on a daffodil hunt, eventually finding the big bright yellow flowers in our yard.  The next day Gwen and RJ found (plastic) eggs that the E.B. had lost the previous week.

We visited the Grout Museum District two different days.  At the Imaginarium (Children’s museum) we made lightning and thunder, made our hair stand on end, and RJ flew an airplane trainer.  We saw stars at the Planetarium.  RJ and Gwen used their “dog tags” at the Iowa Veterans Museum.

RJ played baseball, golf, tennis, bowling with each of us on the Wii.  RJ liked playing with his uncle best because Alex knew how to set the system to make it easy for RJ to do well.

Grandkids are indeed a Blue Zone.
